I'll skip right to the conclusion: I think this pillow is excellent value for money and it's my favorite pillow for back and side sleeping. I have tried a bunch of other styles, including latex, polyfill, down, down alternative, memory foam, shredded memory foam, and buckwheat. My favorite is this wool pillow, the more expensive wool pillow is a close second, and then a buckwheat pillow is third, with everything else a distant fourth and up.I like how wool pillows gently crush down into the perfect shape without completely collapsing like memory foam and without constantly fighting against you like latex. Each morning, I spend literally 3-5 seconds fluffing the pillow and then it's ready for the next night. This is my second wool pillow, and by far the least expensive. The other one was almost 3x the price. This is an overstuffed wool pillow with a cotton quilted cover. I haven't sent the cover to a lab or anything, so I can't be sure, but the inside of the cover feels more like polyester than cotton while the outside is definitely cotton. The wool itself smells clean and washed, if slightly of cleaning product. I decided to cut the inner polyester liner away and relocate the wool bolas to be directly in the cover. This greatly increases the comfort of the pillow and I recommend that anyone with a few spare minutes do this. I did it outside, which was a good idea because there is a decent amount of dust, grit and detritus in the wool. I don't knock them for this as getting 100% of the dirt out of natural wool is a tough job. I vigorously shook handfuls of the wool to filter out the dusty bits and then plopped it back into the cover. The cover itself is tightly woven to avoid any residual grit or bits coming through. I wrapped the outer cover in a pillow protector, which I do with all my pillows, since I sweat at night and don't want to soil the original cover or fill. I wash the pillow protector on the same cycle as my sheets so that I only will need to wash the pillow itself once a year or so.Overall I am impressed that Yatas wool pillow is just as comfortable if more than other much more expensive pillows. I will buy again if I have the need.
